Prime Rib sounds like you need a special occasion to make it, but you don’t! Any day of the week, any time of the year is occasion enough to enjoy this mouth-watering hunk of meat! Whip out that chef’s hat and show your family and friends what your culinary prowess is capable of!
Prime Rib
Ingredients
- 1, 4 – 6lb grass-fed beef rib roast (bone optional)
- 1 packet BETTER//BROTH™ Keto Thyme
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 10 fresh garlic cloves
Prep Instructions
- Allow roast to sit at room temperature for at least one hour.
- Make 10 small, random slits in roast
- Place fresh garlic cloves into slices.
- Mix together salt, pepper, and BETTER//BROTH™ Keto Thyme and rub roast with. This can be done the night before as well.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
- Place the roast in a roasting pan bone side down.
If boneless use a roasting rack and place fat side up. - Cook the roast for 15 minutes, then reduces the oven temperature to 325 degrees.
- Continue to cook for about 15 minutes per pound.
- If using a meat thermometer, medium rare: 130-140 degrees, medium 145-155 degrees.
- The roast will continue to cook when removed from the oven, increasing about 5 degrees in temperature. When the desired temperature is reached, remove the roast from the oven and let sit 15-20 minutes before carving.
